MY STORY AND STUDY

I was born and grew up in the busy city of Beijing. During my teenage years I was diagnosed with scoliosis, while at the same time experiencing a phase of depression. I overcame that period, thanks to the love of my family, who kept encouraging me to think positively and seek out for healing practices.
In 2015, I founded Humble Yoga with Yiyang in Beijing, and I have been teaching small group class, also focusing on 1-to-1 private session, Kids' yoga and Pre & Post Natal yoga teaching. My philosophy is to create a none-commercialised and comfortable environment for students, and cultivating individual teacher-student connection. I have more than 3000 hours teaching and training experience, and a certified yoga therapist in training.
My two main teachers in Yoga and Yoga Therapy world - Dr. N. Chandrasekaran and Leslie Kaminoff - continually humble me with the idea that Yoga is a very holistic approach to life in any dimensions, and remind me that always to be present with kindness and care to every beings in each moment. I teach Yoga in a natural way in wanting to pass on the connection between traditions of Krishnamacharya and modern yoga. I have been advocating for introducing Gentle Ashtanga class in Beijing, to encourage students self-empowering care for their well-being. I also integrates yoga therapy practices into medical context to help careseekers who are recovering from injuries and chronic pain.
As a lifetime student in the great tradition lineage of Pro. T. Krishnamacharya, I now continue my learning of Yoga and Yoga Therapy. I believe that Yoga is for everyone, and it is a comprehensive guidebook to human life, which takes us a healthy and happy life both internally and externally. I value a cooperative learning environment over an authoritative style, and help students to discover how they feel well.
